San Francisco-based wholesale insurance brokerage arqu has raised $10 million in Series A funding, led by Crosslink Capital, with participation from Intact Ventures and existing investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Foxe Capital, and Nationwide Ventures. Founded in 2020, arqu aims to transform how large-scale risks are handled in the $100 billion Excess & Surplus (E&S) insurance market. The funding will drive expansion into new industry verticals such as Real Estate, Energy, and Environmental sectors, while accelerating product development and data-driven broking technology.
CEO Chi Lee emphasized that the company empowers brokers with data and insights to improve pre-underwriting processes, enabling better outcomes for clients. With 20 major retail brokerages as clients and record-breaking placements, arqu plans to continue scaling.
