iBioSim

iBioSim is a computer-aided design (CAD) tool for modeling, analysis and design of genetic circuits and other biological and chemical systems. The program imports and exports models specified using the Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML) and also supports Synthetic Biology Open Language (SBOL). iBioSim was developed at University of Utah.

iBioSim, developed by Chris Myer's research group at University of Utah, primarily targets genetic circuit models but also works with models of metabolic networks, cell-signaling pathways and other biological and chemical systems. Modeling and visualization support for multi-cellular and spatial models is another feature of iBioSim. iBioSim was described in 2009 in Bioinformatics and Version 3 of iBioSim is described in ASC Synthetic Biology in 2018.
