OTP Bank entered the Ukrainian market in June 2006 with the acquisition of one of the leaders in the domestic financial sector, Raiffeisenbank Ukraine. At the time of acquisition, the bank served more than 100,000 customers, providing a full range of banking services to both corporate and private customers, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. Following the completion of the acquisition in November 2006, OTP Bank Plc. became the 100% owner of Raiffeisenbank Ukraine, which was renamed OTP Bank (OTP Bank). [7]
