Zhu Yuanzhang was born in a poor peasant family. He was poor when he was young and herded cattle for the landlord. Later, due to the disaster, he was once shaven to leave home, wandering around, begging alms for a living, at the age of 25 (1352), he joined the Red Turbans led by Guo Zixing to resist the Mengyuan regime. He defeated Chen Youliang, Zhang Shicheng and other warlords successively, unified the south, then destroyed the Yuan in the north, and established a unified feudal imperial regime, named "Daming".
