Notable players during the 2006 FIFA World Cup included Miroslav Klose, Hernán Crespo, Maxi Rodríguez, Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Zinedine Zidane, Lukas Podolski, Fernando Torres, David Villa, and Arjen Robben among others. During the course of the event, Cristian Zaccardo was also awarded.
