Agnès Varda was a Belgian-born French film director, screenwriter, producer, editor, actor, and photographer. She was born on May 30, 1928, in Ixelles, Belgium, and passed away on March 29, 2019, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, France. Varda was educated at the École du Louvre and married to French film director Jacques Demy. They had a child named Mathieu Demy.
Varda's work spanned various genres such as surrealism and realism in arts. She directed numerous films throughout her career, including "La Pointe Courte", "Le bonheur", "Les Créatures", "Far from Vietnam", "Vagabond", "The Gleaners and I", and "The Beaches of Agnès", which she also wrote.
Throughout her life, Agnès Varda received various awards and recognitions, including the Honorary Academy Award. Varda's relatives include her brother, Jean Varda.
