Albert I, Duke of Bavaria

Albert I, Duke of Bavaria , was born on July 25, 1336, in Munich, Germany . He was the son of Louis IV, Holy Roman Emperor, and Margaret II, Countess of Hainaut . In addition to being a politician and Duke , Albert I was also a feudal ruler of the counties of Holland, Hainaut, and Zeeland . Additionally, he held a portion of the Bavarian province of Straubing, his Bavarian ducal line's appanage and seat in Lower Bavaria .

Albert I fathered several children, including Joanna Sophia of Bavaria, Katherine of Bavaria, Margaret of Bavaria, Albert III, Duke of Bavaria, Joanna of Bavaria, Albert II, Duke of Bavaria, John III, Duke of Bavaria, and William II, Duke of Bavaria . His lineage continued through his many descendants.
