Albrecht III Achilles, Elector of Brandenburg, was born on November 9, 1414, in Tangermünde, and died on March 11, 1486, in Frankfurt. He was the Elector of Brandenburg from 1471 until his death. Albrecht III Achilles was a German politician and king. He was known as Albrecht Achilles because of his knightly qualities and virtues, being a member of the Order of the Swan.
He was the son of Frederick I, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach, and Elisabeth of Bavaria (1478–1504). Albrecht III Achilles held German nationality and was a citizen of Germany.
Albrecht III Achilles had several children with his wife, Elisabeth of Bavaria.
