Alex Sopinka

Alexander Sopinka is a software developer and Internet entrepreneur. He was born and grew up in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada. He moved to Waterloo, Ontario in 2003 to attend school at the University of Waterloo.

Upon completing a degree in Mathematics in 2008, Alex worked at various software and web development companies in the Toronto, Ontario region. Not satisfied with the work he was doing, Alex began his own company and started attending local entrepreneur events. There he met Chris Buttenham, and the two formed a bond over the need for better management and easier access to knowledge at companies of all sizes.

Together, they founded Obie.ai in 2015 and are currently solving the age-old problem of finding knowledge at work.
