Born April 27, 1967, in Moscow, in the family of popular Soviet theater and movie actors Alexander Sergeyevich Lazarev (1938-2011) and Svetlana Vladimirovna Nemolyayeva (born 1937). He studied at Moscow School No. 60, a classmate of Dmitry Peskov.
In 1979 at the age of twelve he played the role of Fyodor Lyamin in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District of the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky.
In 1984 he entered the Moscow Art Theatre School studio on the course of Ivan Mikhailovich Tarkhanov. But in 1985 he was called up for military service in the ranks of the Soviet Army, served in the military team at the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army. In 1987 he returned to the Moscow Art Theatre School Studio (course leader - Alexander Alexandrovich Kalyagin), graduated from it in 1990 and was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow State Theatre "Lenkom", where he performs to this day.
Alexander Lazarev, Jr. started acting in movies as a schoolboy - in the television film "Profession - Investigator" (1982) and in the graduation picture of V. Krupnov "First Love". Krupnov's "First Love"[source not shown 2289 days]. In 1982 he played a cameo in the television play "The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He first starred in Alexander Belinsky's Provincial Benefit (1993). At the beginning of his acting career was filmed under the name of Trubetskoy. The fame of the actor brought the main role (Anatoly) in Vyacheslav Kryshtofovich's film "The Dead Man's Friend" (1997). He starred in music videos directed by Tigran Keosayan (Shufutinsky's Song, "Song about a Friend" by Igor Krutoy).
Currently, Alexander Lazarev Jr. is one of the leading actors of Lenkom. He took part in the musical Metro at the Moscow Operetta Theater as a guest star in the role of director Philip.
- Wife - Alina Lazareva (Ayvazyan). In early May 2018, after thirty years of married life, Alexander and Alina got married, the solemn event was celebrated in Georgia.
- Daughter - Polina Alexandrovna Lazareva (born May 18, 1990), actress, in 2010 she graduated from the director's department (acting group) of the RATI-GITIS (workshop of professor, honored worker of arts of Russia O. L. Kudryashov), since 2011 serves in the troupe of the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky.
