Andriy Olehovych Baumeister (born February 1, 1970, Cherkasy) - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Theoretical and Practical Philosophy, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Specialist in ancient and medieval philosophy, ontology, metaphysics, philosophy of law and philosophical textology. Translator of philosophical texts from Latin, ancient Greek, German and French into Ukrainian.
In 2011, the monograph "Philosophy of Law" was awarded the ML Zlotina Prize "For the best philosophical monograph of the last decade" from the Institute of Philosophy named after G. Skovoroda and the Ukrainian Philosophical Foundation. Within the framework of the All-Ukrainian rating "Book of the Year", the monographs "At the Sources of Thinking and Being" and "Thomas Aquinas: Introduction to Thinking" were recognized as the best books of 2012 in the "Sofia" category. He is the scientific editor of the section "Ontology" in the Ukrainian version of the "European Dictionary of Philosophy"
