Using the platform, developers can design, secure, publish, analyze, monitor, and monetize APIs. There is a developer portal so that the experts can test their APIs. The microservices feature on Apigee allows for developers to manage said services. There is also a operations team that is a part of the company which functions as quality control for the APIs and alerts the client to any issues that may arise.

In 2019, Apigee announced that its product "Apigee Hybrid" was in beta testing. The product allows for APIs to be used across various environments.
