Apiwiz

Apiwiz is a developer of a lifecycle management platform designed to simplify the development, management, and monetization of APIs. The company offers technology-agnostic, low-code API software for the management of API programs. Apiwiz's solution is developed to enable users to deploy, design, and monitor APIs across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid cloud deployments, while also providing those organizations with a single source of truth to manage the APIs in an environment. This platform is intended to give businesses an integrated view of their IT investment with enterprise-grade API lifecycle management and governance.

The company was founded in August 2017 by CTO Darshan Shivashankar and CEO Rakshith Rao and is headquartered in Pleasanton, California. In 2021, the Apiwiz platform spun out of parent company Itorix.

The Apiwiz platform offers users the chance to plan and design APIs, including defining business goals and translating those goals into API programs and API program drivers to give products cross-company capabilities. Once developed, the platform offers users a chance to manage the APIs and adapt the APIs to achieve better results. To build and govern the APIs, the Apiwiz platform offers a control plane in which users can integrate a preferred API gateway and control the API lifecycle to decrease the costs, complexity, and delays using different technologies. This includes the building of templates to ensure adherence to development guidelines for organizational standards with self-service models and to mock API development to reduce development and testing cycle dependencies to get early feedback and go to market faster.

Apiwiz offers test automation for the building of reliable APIs. The testing can be based on test coverage that has been previously designed and approved by the company. Further, the testing platform allows users to chain together complex API transactions and workflows to create and run test cases on-demand to increase deployment frequency and reduce downtime. Once tested, the Apiwiz platform offers a developer portal to help users promote the adoption of internal, partner, and public APIs with a straightforward method for finding APIs and onboarding them to the platform. Further, the platform offers step-by-step instructions for API resources and present use cases with which the audience can identify.
