It is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. It focuses on funding companies at the early stage of financing, and prefers to provide capital for companies that are developing products and services in the digital media, technology, and mobile sectors. As of December 2019, Axel Springer Digital Ventures has 17 active companies in its portfolio and has sold off its stakes in 10 companies.
