American comic book artist, the creator of batman
Bob Kane (born October 24, 1915, and died November 3, 1998) was an American artist, writer, screenwriter, penciller, and comics artist. He was born in New York City and held citizenship in the United States. He is best known as the creator of Batman and several associated characters.
Kane was educated at DeWitt Clinton High School and later attended Cooper Union. His notable works include Gotham City, the Batman comic strip, and the autobiography Batman and Me.
In addition to Batman, Kane created other iconic characters such as Joker, Deadshot, and Dick Grayson. He passed away in Los Angeles on November 3, 1998.
