Founded in 2015, the Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation is a collaborative business campus in Colorado Springs for companies in the defense, aerospace, and technology industries. Catalyst Campus has additional locations in Ogden, Utah, and College Park, Maryland.
The Colorado Springs Catalyst Campus sits on over twelve acres of land and has over 200,000 square feet of usable commercial space. As of August 2022, the campus has five buildings and is in the process of constructing a sixth. In the buildings are offices, event spaces, and various collaborative spaces. There is also a large research and development lab and an auditorium. The buildings house thirty companies and 700 employees. Founder Kevin O'Neil plans to continue expanding the campus with a goal of achieving 1 million square feet in commercial space by 2031. Two satellite locations exist in the cities of Ogden and College Park, established in 2021 and 2022 respectively. O'Neil aims to have up to ten satellite locations by 2026. The Catalyst Campus provides a congregative environment for businesses in the aerospace and defense industries to develop new technology to be used in military programs conducted by the United States Department of Defense. The campus has served as a huge economic driver for Colorado Springs.
Businesses with a presence at Catalyst Campus include Lockheed Martin, Deloitte, Amazon Web Services, LeoLabs, Omitron, and SAIC.
