Charles VI (1 October 1685 – 20 October 1740) was the Holy Roman Emperor, a monarch who held the title from 1711 until his death in 1740. He was born in Vienna, the city in which he would also pass away. Charles VI was a citizen of both Hungary and Spain during his life.
His occupation as a monarch positions him as an important historical figure. Two of his notable children included Maria Theresa and Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria (governor). Charles VI was also the founder of the Kraljevica Shipyard, a significant European shipbuilding facility.
