DFJ Growth, the venture capital arm of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, is a venture capital and private equity firm making seed, early stage, and growth stage investments that is headquartered in Menlo Park, California and was founded in 2006 by John Fisher, Mark Bailey,Barry Schuler, and Randy Glein. Notable investments made by DFJ Growth include Box, Foursquare, Silver Spring Networks, SolarCity, SpaceX, Tumblr, Twitter, and Yammer.
On May 5, 2014 DFJ Growth completed raising $470 million in funding for make later stage investments in technology companies.
On February 9, 2016 DFJ Growth announced raising $350 million for their new early stage fund. The firm plans on using the fund to make early stage investments in startup companies between $10 and $15 million.
On April 20, 2017 DFJ Growth announced closing their third venture capital fund with $535 million in capital. Randy Glein, a co-founder of DFJ Capital, commented on how the company is planning on using their third venture fund:
