Overview
Daksha, officially known as दक्ष and dakṣa, is a character in Vedic and Hindu mythology. He is considered a god from the Aditya group and recognized as capable and dexterous. Born to Brahma and Aditi, he hails from the Hindu pantheon.
Daksha's siblings include Narada, and his partners are Prasuti and Asikni. His children have a role in Hindu mythology and include Sati (Hindu goddess), while also being listed in various myths.
As a descendant of Brahma, Daksha shares this lineage with another god, Varuna.
