Overview
Varuna (वरुण or váruṇaḥ) is a figure in Vedic mythology. Identified as the god of world waters, he is also known as the supreme guardian of justice and a judge. Varuna was born in the Vedic country to parents Kashyapa and Aditi. He also has a sibling named Aditya.
Varuna's partners include Varuni and Ganga. He has four known children: Vasistha, Daksha, Varuni, and Sushena.
