Eksmo is a Moscow-based publishing house that was established in 1991. The company was initially a small brand but now has a portfolio over 8,000 authors published and works with books in genres such as action, modern prose, children's literature, fiction, science, and applied literature.The company publishes more than 10,000 titles each year and accounts for 30 percent of yearly total book sales. Famous authors that have been published by Eksmo include crime writer Alexandra Marinina and fantasy writer Sergey Lukyanenko.
Customers can buy books through the company's website by searching for books according to genre, awards, discounted books, collections, ratings, and more. Prices are listed in Russian rubles, and readers can create lists of books they want to buy by clicking the heart icon located near each picture of a book.
Eksmo also has an online magazine that is available to be read on the company's website. In the magazine, there are articles related to literary trends and informational pieces.
Eksmo has invested in other European publishing houses such as German Press Factory, Tver Printing Plant, the combined retail chain New Book - Bukvoed, and the Mann Ivanov and Ferber Publishing House.
