What is Elmurst?
Elmurst is a nut, seed and grain based beverage producer located in New York. Henry Schwartz, founder of Elmhurst, was the owner of the last dairy in New York City, which was founded in 1925. In 2017, he closed his dairy farm and rebranded as a milk-alternative brand.
Elmhurst uses a trademarked HydroRelease method developed by technologist Dr. Cheryl Mitchell to produce nut and seed milks. Elmhurst does not use gums or emulsifiers to hold the product together. HydroRelease is a zero waste process, meaning all parts of the grain, nut, or seed are used.
Their milk products include chocolate oat milk, almond milk, cashew milk, hazelnut milk, oat milk, walnut milk, unsweeteened almond milk, unsweetened cashew milk, unsweetened hazelnut milk, unsweetened walnut milk and unsweetened oat milk. They offer single serve cartons of chocolate oat milk, blueberry oat milk, vanilla oat milk and plain oat milk.
Elmhurst offers a Barista Series of milks, which are made for coffee and the coffee industry to taste better in coffee and steam better with espresso machines. These include their barista hemp milk, barista almond milk, barista oat milk and barista cashew milk.
They offer a line of hemp creamers enriched with Omega-3 and offered in 16 ounce packages. The creamers include golden-milk hemp creamer, french vanilla hemp creamer, hazelnut hemp creamer and original hemp creamer flavors.
