Duke of lorraine
Francis II, Duke of Lorraine, was born on February 27, 1572, in Nancy, France. He was the son of Charles III, Duke of Lorraine, and Claude of Valois. Francis II held French nationality and was a citizen of France.
He was known for briefly serving as the Duke of Lorraine in 1625 before abdicating in favor of his son. Francis II held the occupation of Lorraine Spector.
Francis II was the father of three children: Nicholas Francis, Duke of Lorraine; Charles IV, Duke of Lorraine; and Marguerite of Lorraine. His parents were Claude of France (1547–1575) and Charles III, Duke of Lorraine (74061123).
Francis II, Duke of Lorraine, died on October 14, 1632, in Badonviller.
