Frank Wilczek (born May 15, 1951) is a physicist and professor from the United States, who also holds Polish citizenship. He was born in Mineola, New York and is well-known for his work in quantum chromodynamics.
Wilczek studied at Martin Van Buren High School before attending the University of Chicago and Princeton University, where he received his doctoral degree. His doctoral advisor was David Gross and one of his doctoral students is Michael Forbes.
Frank Wilczek's notable contributions to the field of physics were recognized in 2004, when he received the Nobel Prize in Physics.
