Fundbox is a company that provides a web and mobile-based platform for small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to manage their cash flow. Fundbox was founded in 2012 by Eyal Shinar, Tomer Michaeli, and Yuval Ariav. Fundbox aims to simplify how SMEs receive payment and acquire funding to operate. Fundbox is based in San Francisco, California.
Fundbox has three services. The first is an invoicing solution for B2B SMEs that provide net payment terms for the SMEs’ customers to increase payment processing speed. The second is a line of credit offering for SMEs to grow their businesses. The last service provides an extended payment term for SMEs’ supplies and inventory purchases.
Fundbox has received total funding of $107.5 million from four funding rounds since 2014. Fundbox’s most recent round was a Series C held in 2015, raising $50 million in capital. Eighteen investors have financed Fundbox, with three among them as lead investors. These past investors include Sound Ventures, Khosla Ventures, FJ Labs, Spark Capital, and Entrée Capital.
