GenXComm is a developer of wireless interference cancellation and mesh network technology to help solve problems associated with wireless connectivity infrastructure. The company's technology combines radio frequency and photonics to deliver robust connectivity, with a better coverage area than conventional Wi-Fi. As well, the company is commercializing self-interference cancellation solutions for full duplex communication for wideband wireless communication.
Based in Austin, Texas, GenXComm was founded in 2016 by Dr. Sriram Vishwanath and Hardik Jain, based on the research they conducted at the University of Texas. This research combines radio frequency and photonics to solve problems with wireless connectivity infrastructure. The company's technology allows wireless channels to transmit and receive simultaneously and on the same frequencies, which can be used to build bandwidth-efficient, secure, interference-free, and cost-effective networks.
GenXComm's technology is micro photonics based with real time signal processing to enable interference free, high-bandwidth adaptive networks. This technology can help mobile service operators, broadband providers, and enterprise wireless systems deliver 5G, 6G, and Wi-Fi 6 networking technologies. This includes the company's interference cancellation technology (S-SIX), which is built to enable duplex, simultaneous transmit and receive and increased spectrum efficiency for wired and wireless communication. S-SIX is capable of providing wireless backhaul, self-backhaul small cells, and 4G/5G fixed and mobile flexible network architectures.
GenXComm is also developing light-enabled technologies that can facilitate faster, smaller, and more energy efficient components, which can replace conventional microelectronics to enable intelligent compute fabric composed of high speed adaptive mobile networks. This technology can be used for mobile peer to peer and adaptive networks for autonomous vehicles, advanced RFID for automated inventory, smart hub in-home networking and wireless broadband access, and low powered high precision RADAR and LIDAR.
GenXComm's private cellular network is built on a cellular mesh network. This is to create easier and faster deployments for private networks while offering full coverage and capacity of a cellular network. The network solutions includes mesh nodes, similar to Wi-Fi mesh, connecting with wireless backhaul and access. The capability allows for mesh nodes to be deployed where power is available and is intended to reduce the cost of building and deploying networks.
These mesh networks have been suggested, by GenXComm, for use in outdoor and indoor radio networks for hard-to-reach or outdoor locations, especially in locations without ethernet connections; edge node and cloud networks for enterprises and microservices provided at the edge; GXC network management for a centralized network configuration and management for enterprise and service provider control; and turnkey network-as-a-service to help increase network integrity, performance, and operational simplicity.
