Genesy raised a Seed for 5,150,000 USD in January, 2025.
Genesy, a Barcelona-based AI startup focused on transforming B2B sales processes, has raised €5 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Samaipata, a pan-European venture capital firm specializing in digital businesses with network effects, with participation from existing investors KFund and Itnig. According to the company, this funding represents the largest round to date for a generative AI-native company led by a Spanish venture capital firm.
Founded in 2023 with offices in Madrid and Barcelona, Genesy leverages advanced artificial intelligence to streamline sales operations for businesses. The company’s platform features AI-powered digital sales agents that autonomously identify, qualify, and engage potential clients. By integrating over 30 data sources and developing an intelligent workflow system, the platform enables businesses to enhance sales productivity while reducing operational costs.
CEO and founder Kai Brandt expressed enthusiasm for the company’s future, stating, “This funding will allow us to consolidate our technology and build the first multilingual sales agent capable of selling anything to anyone, anywhere in the world. Mastering the sales equation through our AI agents will position us at the forefront of the digital workforce revolution. With the right team, resources, partners, and industry expertise, we are ready to become the largest provider of digital agents for business tasks of all kinds.”
Within its first nine months of operation, Genesy has achieved significant milestones, including the development of its proprietary AI voice system and the establishment of partnerships with notable clients such as Factorial, Sequra, Metricool, and Red Points. These clients benefit from the platform’s ability to boost sales team productivity by up to tenfold, underscoring its impact on business efficiency.
The €5 million investment will support Genesy’s plans to expand its team from 20 to 40 employees by the end of 2025. Additionally, the company aims to scale its operations in key international markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. These strategic expansions reflect Genesy’s goal of establishing itself as a leader in AI-driven sales solutions on a global scale.
Luis Garay, Partner at Samaipata, highlighted the significance of the investment: “This investment reinforces Samaipata’s commitment to Gen-AI companies that unlock the potential of LLMs for specific use cases. We believe Genesy has the potential to redefine sales efficiency and productivity on a global scale. We’re excited to partner with them as they accelerate their growth in a global market.”
Genesy’s vision extends beyond sales automation. The company aims to play a broader role in the emerging field of “digital employees,” leveraging AI to automate repetitive tasks across various business functions, including customer service and talent acquisition. This aligns with the global trend of generative AI applications gaining traction across industries.
With the support of its investors and a strong focus on innovation, Genesy is well-positioned to advance its mission of transforming B2B sales and driving the adoption of AI-powered solutions in businesses worldwide.
