Gunpei Yokoi (よこい ぐんぺい) was a Japanese engineer and game designer known for his work in the field of video games. Born on September 10, 1941, in Kyoto, Japan, Yokoi obtained his education from Doshisha University. He was the creator of popular games like Metroid, Tetris Attack, and Donkey Kong.
