Hans von Euler-Chelpin (1873-1964) was a German-Swedish biochemist and chemist. He was born in Augsburg, Germany, and later obtained citizenship in Sweden. Euler-Chelpin studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Würzburg. He had a prominent academic discipline in chemistry.
Euler-Chelpin's illustrious career included receiving the 1929 Nobel Prize in Chemistry as a recognition for his work. He was also a military personnel at some point in his life.
Hans von Euler-Chelpin was the father of Ulf von Euler, another well-known scientist. He had the esteemed Emil Fischer as his doctoral advisor during his academic career.
Euler-Chelpin passed away in Stockholm, Sweden, on November 6, 1964.
