HealthifyMe is an India-based health technology company that creates health and wellness solutions for the general public with accessible digital products, such as mobile apps. It was founded in 2012, and in addition to its offices in India, the company also has locations in Singapore and Malaysia.
HealthifyMe has developed several products and offerings that are intended to help users improve their health through the use of technology.
HealthifyMe's app is one of the first products that was launched by the company in 2014, and it was initially a calorie tracker. Since then, the app has had features added to it, including tracking other dietary and health data, such as macronutrients, water intake, steps taken, and sleep.
Other features on the app include recipes, daily and weekly reports containing personalized health insights, and an artificial intelligence (AI) personal health assistant and chatbot, called Ria, that helps the user stay on track for their fitness journey.
HealthifyMe also offers coaching services for users who opt into premium plans. Users can pay for extra services, such as calls with the coach, a personal diet and fitness coach, a personalized fitness plan, and unlimited chats with the coach.
The company has developed a smart scale that can give the user other health metrics in addition to their weight, such as percentage of body fat and muscle mass. HealthifyMe also offers a wearable device called CGM. This device is worn on the arm and is used to collect data about the user's glucose levels, which is then used by the company's coaches to create customized diet plans.
HealthifyMe began integrating AI into its offerings in 2018 when it launched the aforementioned nutritionist chatbot, Ria. It is part of the HealthifyMe app and acts as a nutritionist with the data and insights from the user's diet and workout logs. Ria can be used as a nutritionist chatbot, a place to get healthy recipes, and to get ideas for specific workouts.
In September 2023, HealthifyMe released another AI-powered feature called Snap. The feature was developed with generative AI models that are trained to recognize 150,000 different Indian foods. Users can take a picture of the food they want to eat, and Snap can identify the number of calories in the food so the user can track their caloric intake more efficiently.
