Hirect is a provider of mobile-based recruitment services intended to help organizations hire without a middle man. The company's services include an AI matching algorithm; direct chat communication services; and verification services to schedule interviews, shortlist applicants based on their resume, and schedule calls and the interview process. The mobile application allows hiring organizations and individuals searching for a job to match through the company's algorithm and connect through real-time conversations, before a formal interview process is begun.
The company was founded in 2020 in Bengaluru, India by Raj Das. In 2021, the company expanded to the United States, where it is headquartered in San Francisco. The company operates an Indian website and a United States website to cater to the two different regions. The company's India CEO is Raj Das, and Brady Xu holds the CEO role for the United States.
The application was launched in September 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, partly with the intention to help people who had lost their jobs during the pandemic find new jobs. The company has boasted 60,000 start-ups and over 2 million job seekers using the application on both Android and iOS platforms. Most of the hiring through the application is technology talent; the app also helps start-ups fill positions in sales, human resources, and finance, among others.
Hirect's application works to make hiring a faster process, allowing recruiters to use the company's matching algorithms along with asynchronous communication to make finding candidates faster.
When a hiring manager or other user posts a job profile for their company, the algorithm matches the job profiles with possible candidates based on the candidate's experience. These candidates are sent to the hiring user, who is notified as soon as the algorithm has matched candidates. This helps recruiters eliminate the need to screen resumes.
Through the chat application, the recruiter can send possible candidates a message with asynchronous chat. The application also includes voice and video calling capabilities, allowing recruiters to reach out immediately and hire faster. The company also boasts the application is secure for users, offering privacy protection and data protection to keep users' information private and secure.
On the other side of the hiring process, Hirect helps job seekers find companies with positions that match their credentials. Furthermore, the application gives job seekers a chance to chat directly with businesses and recruiters, schedule interviews, and get feedback.
The process for job seekers requires them to fill out their profile, post their resume, indicate what job they are looking for, and note what jobs they are qualified for. When a recruiter posts a position, the company's algorithm then matches relevant job seekers with that posting, and job seekers can receive messages from recruiters much faster than traditional hiring processes.
In October of 2021, Hirect announced the company was launching a $1 million start-up program to help start-ups earn exposure and fill priority positions with motivated, qualified candidates. The start-ups chosen by the program receive free marketing on various social channels, with a goal of reaching a million impressions across platforms. The program also offers CEOs and founders a chance to participate in virtual hiring events hosted by Hirect and its partners. Hirect US CEO Brady Xu, speaking on the program, stated
We have a simple mission, to help startups stand out and cut through the noise. We know the hurdles they face, the competition to have their voices and ideas heard. This sponsorship will help startups promote their services, increase brand awareness, and connect them with amazing candidates.
The first virtual event hosted by Hirect occurred in late 2021, with the event attracting more than 10,000 virtual viewers, with Jonathan Javier and Jerry Lee of Wonsulting. The event included six start-up CEOs presenting job openings while Hirect ran online advertising campaigns and provided digital assets as part of free exposure packets. Through the company's mobile app, event attendees were able to chat directly with the CEOs after the event and present their qualifications and arrange interviews.
The second such event came in February 2022, when Hirect hosted Hired in the Metaverse: The New Frontier of Recruiting event. The function served as a virtual reality job fair for Y-combinator backed start-ups. Hirect sent out Oculus Quest 2 headsets to job seekers in the United States, and attendees could also access the event through a web browser. The virtual event offered a hiring fair feel, with start-ups operating virtual booths in which they could interact with attendees.
