IDInvest is a European private equity firm headquartered in Paris, France focused on the mid-market segment, financing SMBs at different stages of growth. It is mainly known for its venture capital arm that has invested in several European companies such as Criteo, Talend, Meetic, Vente-Privée, and Sarenza.
In 2019, the company had €8 billion assets under management and is based in Paris. It was founded in 1997 under the name AGF Private Equity, as a subsidiary of Allianz. In 2010, it became independent.
In May 2018, Eurazeo and Idinvest announced the conclusion of a firm agreement that created a private equity leader, with over €15 billion under management and serving companies in Europe and North America. Under the terms of this agreement, IDI, an investment company listed on Euronext Paris, sold its entire investment in Idinvest (i.e 51% of the share capital) to Eurazeo, which subsequently owned about 70% of the company, next to the Idinvest's management who retained around 30%.
