On February 8, 2016, Ingredion acquired Shandong Huanong Specialty Corn Development, a food ingredient manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount of money.
On March 9, 2017, Ingredion acquired the Rice Ingredient division of Sunflower Industry, a division making rice starch and flour, for an undisclosed amount of money.
