Avebe is an international cooperative with over 2500 Dutch and German members that is headquartered out of Veendam, Netherlands. The company was initially founded in 1919 as the Aardapplemeel Verkoop Bureau' (Potato starch Sales), and was responsible for selling starch produce for local farming cooperatives. Avebe is Europe's largest potato starch producer.

Avebe's potato based products are sold for use in a variety of industries such as animal feed, food, paper, adhesives, textiles, and construction.
