Joan Beaufort, Countess of Westmorland (1379-1440), was a politician and count from the Kingdom of England. She was born in the province of Champagne, and passed away in Howden. Joan Beaufort was the youngest of the four legitimised children and only daughter of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster. Her mother was Katherine Swynford.
Joan was married to Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland and held the title of Countess of Westmorland. She was a powerful landowner in the North of England. Joan had a number of children, including Cecily Neville, Duchess of York, Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury, and William Neville, 1st Earl of Kent, among others.
