Katharine Burr Blodgett

Katharine Burr Blodgett was born on January 10, 1898, and passed away on December 10, 1979. She was a chemist and physicist who received her education from various prestigious institutions, including the University of Chicago, Bryn Mawr College, and the University of Cambridge. She was guided by doctoral advisor Irving Langmuir.

Blodgett spent her career making significant contributions to the scientific community and was recognized with several achievements. In 2007, she was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. She passed away in Schenectady, New York.
