Kawasaki Frontale

Kawasaki Frontale (川崎フロンターレ Kawasaki Furontāre?) is a Japanese professional soccer club that plays in the J1 League. The club is located in the city of Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, and plays its home games at the 26,000-capacity Todoroki Kawasaki Stadium.

The club, owned by the Japanese company Fujitsu, was founded in 1955 as Fujitsu FC and, in 1997, was reorganized as Kawasaki Frontale to enter Japanese professional football. The club adopted the kit colors and crest of the Brazilian Grêmio, although the emblem was later redesigned.

As Fujitsu FC, they were proclaimed champions of the Japan Soccer League in 1976, an amateur tournament that became professional in 1993. In their record, they have won four J1 League championships in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021; two Japan Super Cup won in 2019 and 2021, a J. League Cup title won in 2019; and an Emperor's Cup title. Kawasaki Frontale's great rival is FC Tokyo, with whom it disputes the "Tamagawa Classic". On the other hand, its rival is Yokohama F. Marinos, with whom it disputes the "Kanagawa Derby".
