Kazimierz Kuratowski

Kazimierz Kuratowski was a mathematician and philosopher born on February 2, 1896, in Warsaw, which was then part of the Russian Empire. He obtained his education at the University of Glasgow. Later on, he became a citizen of Poland.

Kuratowski's contributions to the fields of mathematics and philosophy were significant throughout his career. One notable achievement was mentoring doctoral student Stanislaw Ulam. He passed away on June 18, 1980, in Warsaw.
