Canadian computer scientist
Kenneth E. Iverson (1920-2004), also known as Kenneth Eugene Iverson, was a Canadian mathematician and computer scientist. Born in Camrose, Alberta, Iverson held Canadian citizenship and resided in the United States.
Iverson was educated at Harvard University and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His doctoral advisor was Howard H. Aiken.
Iverson's contributions to the fields of mathematics and computer science were recognized with the prestigious 1979 Turing Award. He passed away in Toronto in 2004.
