Liang Qichao was a Chinese journalist, philosopher, historian, writer, politician, and prominent intellectual born on February 23, 1873, in Xinhui District. He held citizenship in both the Qing dynasty and Taiwan. Liang studied at National Tsing Hua University and was a student of Kang Youwei, a well-known scholar of the time.
Mr. Qichao was the father of three children: Liang Sicheng, Liang Siyong, and Liang Sili. He is particularly known as the father of Liang Sicheng, a renowned Chinese architect.
Liang Qichao passed away on January 19, 1929, in Beijing. Throughout his lifetime, Liang made considerable contributions to journalism, philosophy, history, literature, and politics as a key intellectual figure in China during his era.
