Biography
He graduated from Lviv College of Finance and Credit , and in 2001 - Ternopil Academy of National Economy (specialty "International Economics", master's degree)
In 2012 he entered and in 2019 he graduated from the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy and received a master's degree in "Theology".
Labor activity
1998 - founded the distribution company "Olmar", which in 2000 became the largest distributor of beer in western Ukraine.
In 2002 he built the Galician Brewery Experimental Plant in Lviv.
In 2004, he and his family founded the First Private Brewery, which in 2007 joined the UKEEP Small and Medium Energy Saving Program and received the first $ 17.6 million investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In 2012, the EBRD, together with the German concern Oettinger and the international group Oasis CIS , became a shareholder of the company.
Since 2012, the First Private Brewery has been managing two breweries in Lviv and Radomyshl with a total capacity of 2.3 million gallons of beer per year. Andriy Matsola is the largest shareholder and executive director (CEO) of the company.
Public activity
Since 2015, Andriy Matsola has been a participant in the November 21 initiative, the goal of which is to actualize the values of modern Ukrainians and spread them.
On November 15, 2016, the AXIOS Center for Practical Assistance to Defenders of Ukraine opened in Kyiv. The idea of establishing the Center belongs to the former members of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, but it was realized thanks to the initiative and support of Andriy Matsola.The AXIOS Center is a non-governmental provider of services to promote employment, training and legal support of Ukrainian defenders and members of their families. A group of professional psychologists, lawyers and HR specialists work here. A wide range of activities can strengthen the support of the fighters and help them integrate more quickly into peaceful life. All services are free.
Support for the church and education
Every year, with the support of the patron, students of the Kyiv and Volyn Orthodox Theological Academies go to study at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki - the largest educational institution in Greece.
2016 - contributed to the opening of the Orthodox University of St. Sophia on the basis of the National Reserve "Sophia of Kyiv".
Andrew Matsola is the official patron (patron) of the Athos monastery of Simonopetra. He also supports some other monasteries on Mount Athos.
Since 2019 - Chairman of the Council of Patrons of the "Metropolitan Fund of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine".
On August 23, 2021, he was the first in Ukraine to receive the honorary title of archon from the Ecumenical Patriarch .
Support for culture and art

Since 2017, the First Private Brewery has been a premium sponsor of the National Football Team of Ukraine . In the same year, on the initiative of Andriy Matsola, a fan movement "Faithful to the National Team" was created. The goal of the fan movement is to "create a team of fans that will support Ukrainian players regardless of the outcome of a particular match and show that Ukrainians know how to cheer beautifully and wholeheartedly".
In 2017-2020, Andriy Matsola held the position of Vice President of the Ukrainian Football Association .
Partnership
In 2015, the 1 + 1 TV channel and the First Private Brewery launched a multimedia educational project "My Country". Beautiful and independent ", which showed the most beautiful parts of Ukraine from a bird's eye view. Matsola with the hosts of "1 + 1" Alla Mazur , Yuri Gorbunov , Natalka Moseychuk , Lydia Taran and Dmitry Komarov was the face of this project.

In September 2021, TV channel 1 + 1 , the show "Dancing with the Stars" and patron Andriy Matsola launched a joint project - "Dance with the Heart". The purpose of this project is to help talented dancers take part in the world's most prestigious ballroom dance festival "Blackpool Dance Festival" .

In 2013 and 2014, 4 types of beer were released - "Author's", "BLONDE", "First Brewing", "Black" ("Author's series by Andriy Matsola"), brewed according to the author's recipe of Andriy Matsola.
Andriy Matsola is responsible for the quality of the products of the First Private Brewery in his own name and has been the face of the company since its inception.
In his youth, Andrew Matsola was engaged in boxing. When hiring a new manager, he always asks if he does sports.
