Mercury (automobile)

Mercury was an automobile brand founded by Edsel Ford on January 1, 1939. The company was a part of the automotive industry and headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. Mercury operated under its parent organization, Ford Motor Company, and was primarily known in the United States.

Mercury functioned as an organization and also a company. Its main competitor in the automotive market was Jeep. Throughout its history, Mercury produced various vehicles for the American market before ceasing production and operations.
