Mira Reality is a company making augmented reality hardware and software to increase employee safety and productivity that is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and was founded in 2016 by Benjamin Taft, Joseph May, Matt Stern, and Montana Reed. The companies augmented reality headsets are compatible with smartphones, and are also compatible with protective eyewear and MSA Type 1 V Gard hard hats.
On July 18, 2017 Mira Reality announced raising $1.5 million in seed funding from Troy Capital Partners and Sequoia Capital. The company plans on using their seed funding to further develop their augmented reality hardware and software product.
On September 20, 2017 Mira Reality announced raising another $1 million for their second seed round from Pathfinder, M Ventures, Greylock Partners, 3Rodeo, and Taz Patel. The second seed funding round was raised by Mira Reality shortly after the company began shipping its first 1,000 augmented reality headsets compatible with IPhone 6, 6S, 7, and 8.
On December 12, 2017 Mira Reality announced raising $4 million in their third seed round from undisclosed investors.
