Mynaric

Mynaric is a company that develops optical fibers for the sake of laser communications between aircrafts, drones, and satellites. The company was founded by Markus Knapek in 2009, in Gilching, Bayern, Germany.

The company is interested in expanding the existing network infrastructure that exist in air and in space. They look to build infrastructure for the ability to have the internet exist above the clouds that consists of hundreds of thousands of flight platforms. Mynaric's laser communication system is able to transmit large amounts of data wirelessly to airplanes, drones, as well as satellites.
