Ngaio Marsh

Ngaio Marsh (born Edith Ngaio Marsh) was a New Zealand writer, playwright, theatre director, novelist, and screenwriter. She was born on April 23, 1895, in Christchurch, New Zealand, and completed her education at the University of Canterbury. Marsh specialized in the detective fiction genre, and held citizenship in New Zealand.

Throughout her career, Marsh was well-known for her contributions as a writer, theatre director, and novelist, working across multiple mediums in the entertainment industry. Marsh passed away on February 18, 1982, in her birth city of Christchurch.
