Orion is a software company that makes a voice-first intelligent communication and automation platform for frontline workers. The company provides cloud-based enterprise services including alert workflows, indoor positioning, geofencing, language translation, and Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) compliance checklists. Orion was co-founded in 2013 by Jesse Robbins and Greg Albrecht, who serve as the company's Executive Chairman and CTO, respectively. Gregory Taylor serves as the company's CEO.
Orion's communication platform is voice-first and allows frontline teams to automate communications and internal operations. The platform is cloud based and edge delivered, with Orion bots and workflows delivering process automation by responding to queries and automating processes. Additionally, the platform allows Orion groups and bots to connect custom software endpoints through SDK and APIs.
The Orion communication platform allows for push-to-talk communication, regardless of distance or device. Further communications support is offered through Orion's web-based PPT Dispatch Console, as well as a cloud-based Command Center management application. Orion's platform also offers location services, process automation, and AI workflows and can be integrated with Salesforce, Skype for Business and IBM Watson.

Orion's voice-first platform has been used by a number of companies and government entities from varying industries.
As of 2021, Orion has participated in six funding rounds, raising a total of $63 million. In its most recent round, a series B round announced on March 31, 2020, the company raised $29 million. The round was led by Dell Technologies Capital, with WRVI Capital and existing investors Avalon Ventures, Argentum Capital Partners, Allen & Company and Mathers Associates also participating.
