Ozette is a Seattle-based AI immune monitoring company for cancer patients. The company was founded in 2020 by Ali Ansary, Evan Greene, Greg Finak, and Raphael Gottardo to provide deeper insights and analysis of the immune system to assist clinicians in choosing diagnostic and treatment options. Ozette is a spinout company of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and was incubated at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
Ozette unveiled its AI technology to the public in February of 2021. The immune monitoring process is done via a blood sample, similar to prior methods; however, Ozette applies AI to the process. The company has developed algorithms that understand cell types and uses AI to sort through data to understand better how cells behave. The technology also accelerates and automates the process within hours, where previously it took months.
