Paul Claudel

Paul Claudel was a French playwright , poet , diplomat , writer , essayist , and librettist . Claudel was educated at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in France . He was born on August 6, 1868, in Villeneuve-sur-Fère and had French nationality .

Claudel's notable works include "The Satin Slipper" and "L'Histoire de Tobie et de Sara" , and he wrote in the genres of essays , poetry , and theatre . He also used the pseudonym Delachapelle for some of his works.

Paul Claudel passed away on February 23, 1955, in Paris and was survived by his child, Henri Claudel .
