Paul Mckeller is a San Francisco-based business person and angel investor.He moved to San Francisco in 2007 after working as a research engineer at Georgia Institute of Technology. His initial move to the city was to be a part of Y Combinator with SocialMoth, an anonymous conversation site he had created. That site was turned into a Facebook app and was sold. Mckeller also created other sites including Wut, a social messaging application, and Wordsmyte, a site that created words for concepts or ideas for which no English word currently exists.
In 2009, Mckeller became part of the founding team of Square, a financial technology and mobile payment company. At Square, he worked on the application programming interface as well as the web interface.
From 2011 until 2013, he was a Founder in Residence at SV Angel. Mckeller invests mainly during the early stages of funding rounds and has made investments in several companies including Golden, Atrium LTS, and Eligible. He is also an advisor at Binded, a digital media and intellectual property company.
