Peter Handke

Peter Handke is an Austrian writer born on December 6, 1942, in Griffen, Austria. Handke was educated at the University of Graz. He is a renowned figure in various fields, including novelist, playwright, film director, screenwriter, and poet.

Handke's body of work includes multiple genres such as essay, poetry, short story, screenplay, theatre, novel, and diary. He is best known for his notable works: "The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick", "Offending the Audience", "The Left-Handed Woman", "A Sorrow Beyond Dreams", "Short Letter, Long Farewell", and "The Moravian Night".

In recognition of his contributions to literature, Handke was awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Literature.
